Social Media Work

Cameron is well versed in Canva, and was a frequent designer of social media posts for publishing. He’s currently the Online Content Manager for Ooligan Press. As part of his duties he’s been the lead in organizing social media for events, taking photos and live posting.

He’ll also make memes if you ask him too. Believing that adding a little visual humor to presentations makes them more memorable.

Cameron’s Social Media Posts for Ooligan Press

A few of the social media posts Cameron has made. For Blue Line Letters, Cameron did a few simple promotions but for others he looked to the book for inspiration. Trying to advertise the book based on its content rather than just its cover. The Pacific Northwest Disaster Guide was Ooligan’s first graphic novel, but feeling like simply adding “pow” or “Crash” sound effect would diminish what the book was about. He did make use of the word balloon format to give the promotions a comic book feel while still holding true to the book.

Launch Events for Ooligan!

Cameron was in charge of live posting during Ooligan’s Launch parties. He often recruited other people in the press to help him take photos and worked out a schedule to make sure the team wasn’t posting all at once and that there was a variety of images by the end.

The next set of social media posts were made while working Freelance for the Audiobook Experience.

You’ll notice all of these were made using the same format. One thing that isn’t clear is that I had to make three times this many posts in less than five hours in order to meet a deadline.

Was given the title “Meme God” in a group project and didn’t say “no”.
